Your organization is migration from a "dedicated" 3CX phone system to a "shared" / "cloud-based" 3CX phone system. This is going to mean a few (hopefully minor) changes you should be aware of:
- Notification emails for voicemails, etc. will now come from pbxa@3cxnotifications.com
- Internal extensions will change from xxx to 4xxx (i.e 109 will become 4109)
- You will get a "welcome email" when we create the new extensions. If you use the 3CX mobile app, you'll want to follow those instructions to log into the new web site, set a new password and reprovision your mobile device - just be aware that while you can make calls after this, you will not receive calls until the migration is complete.
- 10-digit outside telephone numbers will not change
- Voicemail Greetings, Self-Identification Messages, and any system-based voicemails (i.e. not emailed) should transfer over to the new system
- SMS / Chat conversations will be lost
- 3CX system-based phonebooks/contacts are lost - syncing with your phone's contacts on the mobile app won't change, though
- Google / Microsoft one-click logins will no longer work, including contact syncing and status syncing with Teams (if applicable). You must login with a email address and set a traditional password to login to the web client
- There are no changes to efaxing
