Sometimes you need the 3CX mobile app connected to your extension only on occasion. Do not Disturb (DND) is great when you're in a meeting and you want neither your desk phone NOR your mobile phone to ring, but sometimes that doesn't work well, either. For example, you want to be able to answer calls while working from home on occasion, but you want your desk phone but NOT your mobile phone to ring for the 95% of the time when you're in the office.
Note: Sometimes it can be beneficial to have a separate extension altogether for your mobile device - for example, you need your mobile to ring after hours when you're on call, but don't want it ringing all day long with your desk phone. You even could have BOTH extensions on your mobile app, then just toggle the "desk phone" extension with these instructions when needed:
To temporarily disconnect your account:
1. Open the 3CX mobile app. Click on the hamburger button
(3 horizontal lines) next to the 3CX logo in the top left corner:
2. Under Settings, select Accounts.
3. Uncheck the circle with the check icon in it:
4. If there is no check icon in the circle then you've successfully disabled your account in your 3CX mobile app.
It should now show no active profile
You can re-enable your account at any time by doing the reverse.
