Since Pinnacle doesn't troubleshoot/repair printers beyond network/driver issues, we need to know up front who to point your employees to if you have a print quality/hardware issue. We strongly recommend a managed print company like Allen Business Machines. If using a managed print company, you can connect us with their install tech and get us the wall jack number where you plan to plug it in, who needs access to eand skip the rest of this form.
If you want to purchase and install a printer on your own:
- Double-check with Pinnacle to make certain that the printer you've selected is compatible with our network before you order it. We can offer recommendations if you need them.
- Make sure you know what wall jack you are going to plug the printer into. Pinnacle will want to double-check and make sure it's live (or help you make it live in advance of the printer's arrival).
- Once you receive the printer, you may go ahead and unbox it and connect it to the network. Once that is complete, Pinnacle will need the following information to get it deployed for you:
- Who do we point users to for print quality/hardware issues?
- Wall Jack number where printer will be connected
- Printer Model
- The name you want to give the printer (please apply a label with this name on the front of the printer for common reference)
- IP Address and/or MAC address - if you don't have those easily available, we'll help you figure out how to print a configuration page on that model of printer. That page will almost certainly contain this info.
- What departments/roles/computers you want to have access to this printer
Once we have all of that info, we'll be able to test it with you and confirm that everything is set up and ready to go!
