Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery causes problems by hijacking the Windows standard recovery tools. Please disable it as follows:
1. Shut down the laptop
2. Continuously press the F2 key while starting up the laptop - you can stop when you see the Dell BIOS Setup screen:
3. On the left toolbar, navigate using the arrow keys to "Update, Recovery"
4. Find the setting labeled "SupportAssist OS Recovery" and turn that setting to OFF
5. Press ESC to exit
