Occasionally when you're offsite and you aren't connected to VPN, you might see an error message saying "Windows cannot access [some random file path]" and your desktop icons and taskbar icons aren't there. This is due to not being connected to VPN.

Refresh Desktop:
- Usually, your desktop will refresh itself but if it doesn't right click anywhere on your desktop and click "Refresh"
- If any error messages appear please call Pinnacle and we can help
Refresh Taskbar:
- Search for "Task Manager" in your start menu and open it
- In Task Manager click "More Details" and make sure you're on the "Processes tab
- Click "Name" and make sure there is a down arrow at the top of that column (We're sorting by name here)
- Look for "Windows Explorer". It is usually found under the "Windows Processes" section
- Right-click "Windows Explorer" and then click Restart
- A lot of the menus of Windows will disappear for a few seconds but will reappear with everything refreshed
