1. If you have not received an invitation, you will need to ask the appropriate user to follow these steps Setting up a Delegate in Google Workspace.  If you need delegation set up for a shared mailbox that Pinnacle manages for you, give us a call at 260-205-8900 or email us at techsupport@pinnacletechnology.solutions and we can get you added as a delegate to that mailbox
  2. Once the account is delegated, log in and accept the invitation sent to your personal mailbox
  3. Once the delegation has been accepted, you can view the delegated account by clicking your profile icon in the top right, then selecting in your accounts list. It will look different than other accounts you might be signed into (it should show a key and "Delegated" next to the account name).  When you click the account, it will open that email box in a new tab in your browser.


If you have been delegated access to another account it will show up below your own with "Delegated" next to it. Clicking on this account will open a new tab/window and take you straight to the inbox. 


Note: Mailbox delegation only impacts GMail (i.e. Mail and Calendar)- NOT Contacts, Google Drive, YouTube, Google Ads, or Google Webmaster Tools. Also note that delegated email isn't available on mobile devices - this is a (rather strange) limitation that Google has confirmed is by design.
