Insert Clonezilla USB
Boot the computer and go to the boot menu (Often by pressing F10, F11, F12, or ESC repeatedly after pressing the power button until the boot menu option comes up. You can also search the for the trigger key by googling How to get to boot menu on Brandname Modelname)
Choose UEFI Flash and you should see a black/white screen that goes into an Orange/White Screen
Press OK enter on the first option
You should then see a language option. Choose English
Select Don't Touch (Press Enter)
Select Start Clonezilla (Press Enter)
Select device-image (Press Enter)
Select local_dev (Press Enter)
You should then see a black/yellow bar popup. If a separate USB 'repository' was provided by Pinnacle, plug it in now then allow 5 seconds before pressing Enter
The whole screen will then go black/yellow. Allow 10 seconds and then press ctrl+c
Then a list of devices will come up and you must choose the USB drive that contains the image repository.
If you were given a separate 'repository' drive, it will likely reference "sdb"; if you're using a single drive, look for "sda2".
Now use the arrow keys to highlight the image you want to restore (ex. "Optiplex 3050", etc.) and then press Tab to move to Done and then Enter.
If you were given a separate 'repository' drive, repeat Step 13 when prompted.
Choose Beginner Mode (use Tab to navigate to the OK button, enter).
Choose Restoredisk (using Tab).
Choose the correct image from the list. If you have questions, call Pinnacle to confirm which image to use.
Choose the destination - likely sda1 or nvme1 and should say something like sda_256GB or NVME_256GB. If you're not seeing any options, please check the following settings in the BIOS:
- Check that your SATA settings are on "AHCI" (NOT RAID or Intel RST)
- UEFI Boot Path Security should be set to "Never" or "Off"
- Secure Boot Enable should be set to “Disabled”
Choose No, Skip checking the image.
Choose reboot.
Confirm by pressing Y and then Enter.
Repeat step 21.
Clonezilla will begin the restoration and it will look like this:
You will then see a black/white screen that says "Please remove the live-medium, close the tray. . ."; remove the USB drives you connected and then press enter.
If the computer does not reboot within a few seconds, use the power button to reboot the computer.
Let the computer boot Windows ensuring it does not give any errors in the process. It may take a bit to do this and may say repairing at times but it should then come to a Windows login.
